Henderson Chamber’s Roadmap to Success workshop welcomes Jay Young May 9
HENDERSON, Nev. – Jay Young, partner with Marquis Aurbach Coffing law firm, will present “Simple Strategies to Protect Your Business in a Litigious Society,” during the Henderson Chamber of Commerce’s Roadmap to Success workshop from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 9, at the Henderson Business Resource Center, located at 112 S. Water St. in downtown Henderson’s Water Street District.
During the workshop, Young will discuss how business owners can recognize commonly made mistakes small businesses make, how to fortify the business while protecting personal and business assets, and the dangerous risks unbeknownst by many business owners. Young also will provide analysis of the risks business owners don’t think they have.
Young, the litigation department chair at Marquis Aurbach Coffing, focuses his practice primarily on general civil, commercial (business disputes) and real estate litigation. Young is only the second attorney in Nevada to be given the Master Advocate designation by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, which recognizes skills as a litigator and as a teacher of trial and oral advocacy skills to other attorneys. Young also serves as judge pro tem at the Henderson, Nevada Municipal Court and has been chosen as an arbitrator or mediator in hundreds of business and personal disputes. Outside the office, Young was a member of the Las Vegas-based ensemble that won the 2005 Grammy Award for Best Gospel Choir or Chorus Album.

The Roadmap to Success Workshop Series covers all aspects of business critical for business owners to understand and properly execute to stay afloat, especially when times are tough. The series began in September and continues through May. It is comprised of 16 workshops covering topics including finance, human resources, law, marketing, and operations, sales and technology.
The workshop series is sponsored by the City of Henderson, Imagine Communications, Nevada State Bank and Prism Global Management Group.
